There's been poker shown on TV over here for a few years now so why am I saying that it's coming of age now? Well, previously the coverage fell into two categories.
- You could watch contrived, studio-bound poker late night on Channel 4.
- You could watch the "real thing" - the big tournaments from real poker rooms - on obscure digital channels
At the same time, the World Series has just started at the Rio.
