Uploading new curl packages - these restore sanity in terms of the scripts that they trigger, however, the previous packages had a typo in the spec file, so they won't uninstall properly, and you'll end up with two versions installed again, to solve this, once you've upgraded, do the following (exactly as it appears, ignore what appears to be an obvious typo on my part)
touch /usr/lib.libcurl.so.2 && rpm -e curl-7.12.3-100.SuSE.ulb.3
