Server downtime tomorrow

Tomorrow, shortly after 0900, GMT, the server that hosts my site and Planet SUSE will be unavailable for some vital upgrade work. I will have it back online as soon as possible. Email will be unaffected, only web access. Planet SUSE will be available at planet.opensu.se.

Reflections on Gaza

It was reported in the news today that Israel has dropped leaflets in Gaza warning residents to avoid buildings associated with Hamas (presumably because it intends to escalate its use of terrorism against the population of the Strip). Some thoughts: Israel has denied foreign journalists access to Gaza. This is the action of a despotic …

openSUSE 11.1 box

Martin mentioned that his openSUSE 11.1 box had arrived – mine did too. It actually came yesterday but no-one was in to receive it at the time. 12 days to go…

…until we’re freed from the tyranny of the Bush regime. To mark this occasion, the BBC has compiled a list of the best Bushisms – the ways in which the outgoing moron president has got his tongue in a twist. They range from the simply funny (“at the whim of a hat”) to the startlingly …
